Teona Hair Stylist
Teona: layered caramel-blonde hair in a soft curled blowout, wearing a black top against a deep red wall

I'm Teona

I learned hair in Georgia, where a stylist's reputation travels by word of mouth and one rushed color can follow you for years. That school of patience came to Brooklyn with me

Now my chair is on 65th Street in Bensonhurst, and my days are mostly color: balayage, corrections, grays that want covering, blondes that want believing. Most new clients arrive because they saw a friend's hair and asked who did it — which is exactly how I want it

I keep this simple rule: I only promise what your hair can actually do, and then I do it properly. If the look you brought in needs two visits, you'll hear it from me at the start — not discover it at the sink

What I believe about this work

Hair remembers everything — every box dye, every hot iron, every summer. My job starts with reading that history honestly, and only then reaching for a bowl and brush

The best compliment my work gets isn't "nice color". It's "you look great, did you sleep well?" — color and cuts that read as you on a very good day

The formal part

Fifteen-plus years at the chair: I trained in Tbilisi, then retrained for New York — a licensed NY cosmetologist, with ongoing coursework in balayage, color chemistry, and smoothing systems, working exclusively with professional color lines

Let's meet at the chair
