Keratin & smoothing in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn

Frizz, the daily flat-iron fight, hair that drinks humidity on the walk to the train — smoothing treatments exist for exactly this. I work with three: keratin, hair botox, and nanoplastia

They are not one product with three names. Which one your hair needs depends on its condition, your routine, and how much straightness you actually want — that's the first conversation we have

How I work

  1. Which of the three — decided honestly

Keratin smooths and de-frizzes while keeping movement; botox is a repair treatment at heart, kindest to tired, over-processed hair; nanoplastia straightens hardest and holds longest. I look at your hair and tell you which one it can take — not which one costs most

  2. Preparation

A deep cleansing wash opens the hair so the treatment can actually get in. Rushing this stage is why some smoothings quit after three weeks — mine gets its full time

  3. Application and sealing

The formula goes on section by section, then gets sealed in with heat. Patient, methodical work: the evenness of this stage is the evenness of your result

  4. The home-care talk

How you wash decides how long it lasts. Before you leave I tell you exactly what to use and what to avoid — as advice, not a product pitch

Questions I hear about smoothing

Keratin, botox, nanoplastia — what's actually the difference?

Keratin tames frizz and cuts your drying time while keeping natural movement. Hair botox is closer to deep repair — it fills and smooths without much straightening, so it suits damaged hair best. Nanoplastia straightens the most and lasts the longest, and asks the most of your hair in return. At the chair I recommend the one that fits your hair, not the one that sounds most impressive

Will my hair look flat and pin-straight?

Only if that's what we choose. Keratin and botox remove the fight, not the movement — your wave keeps its character. If you want glass-straight, that's nanoplastia territory, and we'll talk honestly about whether your hair is up for it

How long does it last?

That depends on your hair, your wash rhythm, and which treatment we pick — there is no universal number and I won't invent one. What I will do is give you your honest expectation at the chair, plus the home-care that stretches it

Can I combine smoothing with color?

Yes, with the order planned properly — color and smoothing pull on the same hair, so the sequence and spacing matter. Tell me at booking what color work you have or want, and I'll plan the two so neither undoes the other
